Pardes songs (1997)

Pardes movie was directed by Subhash Ghai and it was released in 1997. It was a super hit. Shahrukh Khan and Mahima Choudhary were in lead roles. Amrish Puri also played an important role in the movie.

It was a romantic film. The film story was based on a love triangle. The family of Mahima Choudhary was having a dull mentality, where as the family of Apoorva Agnihotry who played the role of a business tycoon was having a very free nature. Apoorva came to India to see Mahima as he was going to marry her. But Apoorva fails to match the expectations of Mahima and she falls in love with Shahrukh. The rest of the story is based on how SRK and Mahima fight with their families and finally they all agree.

The music has been directed by Nadeem Shravan and Annand Bakshi composed the lyrics. The most popular tracks of the film are Do dil mil rahe hai, Ye dil, I love my India.
