Silsila was one of the blockbuster of 80's. It was released in 1981 and has been directed by Yash Chopra. Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Jaya Bhaduri, Sanjeev Kumar and Rekha were playing the lead roles in the movie. The movie was having a love trianle in it. But the new thing in addition was love triangle after being married. Amitabh Bachchan is married to Jaya Bachchan in the film and Sanjeev Kapoor married to Rekha in the film but Amitabh and Rekha were in love with each other.
The movie had a very great impact on Amitabh's life and news of divorce between Jaya and Amitabh spread like fire. However, they have managed to live happily. The Music of the film is evergreen and can be heard every Holi. Shiv Hari was Music Director of the film and Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar and Amitabh Bachchan were singers. Dekha Ek Khwab To Ye, Rang Barse Thike Chunar and Ye Kahan Aa Gaye Hum are all time favourites and are liked by all.
